HTC's camera App to Android

The Zoe photo showcase app allows users to create video clips from photos stored on a handset and to add music and edits and to share the results. But until now it was exclusive to HTC smartphone owners.
However, it is set to make its debut on the Google Play store before the end of this week as a free app with a serious social focus, compatible with any device that runs Android version 4.4.
Social because HTC wants Zoe to become a hub for sharing and visual creativity. The app already automatically creates short videos and slideshows that are simple to share, but the tweaks will mean that when someone shares a video via Zoe with someone else, the recipient will be able to re-cut or edit the film again.

According to Re/code, which first broke the news, HTC hopes that Zoe could one day develop into something akin to Instagram or Vine.
Although Zoe will be the first app to jump from HTC to the Android community in general, it won't be the last.
Since March, HTC has been working on adapting its BlinkFeed service -- which curates and organizes content form a host of exclusive sources, including the Associated Press and ESPN -- into a standalone app and it is expected to launch in the near future.
